Team James Pahl Wins the Keith's Edmonton SuperLeague

Congratulations to this years winner of the Alexander Keith's Edmonton SuperLeague, Team James Pahl.  It was a very close game against Jamie King and his squad.  A great game to have watched.  Team Pahl was also our grand aggregate winner this year.  Great curling Team Pahl.

Congratulations to Team Kevin Martin as well as our B side winning team.  Team Martin is headed to the Brier in Winnipeg starting this Saturday.  The Brier will be on TSN all week and the finals on CBC next weekend.  Good luck to Team Martin. 

Keith's Edmonton SuperLeague Playoff Schedule

16 of 18 teams made it to playoffs this year.  Congratulations to those teams.  Please note the following points of interest.

    -  A event games in the first round are at 6:15PM.
    -  B event games in the first round are at 8:45PM.
    -  All subsequent rounds will be played at 6:15PM.
    -  Hammer in the first end of all games will be given to the team who finished higher in the standings.
            -  Your place in the standings is indicated by the number in brackets beside your team name in the schedule above.
    -  No payout will be made to teams losing out in the first round of playoffs.
            -  Those teams losing in the first round will be awarded 2 free jugs of beer.
                one from the SSC and one from the SuperLeague. 
            -  These can be claimed on the night of the loss.
    -  All money payouts will be made on the final night of curling, Wednesday March 5, 2008.
    -  Awards will also be given out on March 5th. 
            - Wes Montgomery Award, Grand Aggregate Winner, 'A' Winner and 'B' Winner.
    -  Plan to attend the final night as Keith's and Coca-Cola are providing beverages.
            -  Pizza from Pizza Hut will be served.

Edmonton SuperLeague Skins Night and Sponsor Appreciation

Find below the draw for the skins night (Wednesday, December 19, 2007) and the payouts per end.  Taking into consideration the fact that we all would rather curl a few ends and then have some fun with our sponsors, we have dropped the format to a 6 end game and a $150 payout, rather than a mandatory 8 ender such as last year.  We hope that this is more to the teams and the sponsors liking.

Team Pictures are scheduled for October 31, 2007 and November 7, 2007.  Please come prepared to have your photos taken for both the websites and sponsor plaques as well as for your Saville Sports Centre Athletic Pass.  You will need this pass to book practice ice at the Saville Sports Centre. 

Edmonton SuperLeague - New Title Sponsor

We are proud to announce that Alexander Keith's has been approved as our new league sponsor.  This will mean new crests for our jackets and a few face to our website.  Stayed tuned to the site for other details.

Board Members Needed

Please consider joining the board this year to help run our league.  We are in need of a Media Relations person and a Events Coordinator to join our board to help with ongoing projects.  We are also looking to have a co-Treasurer join the league to help with the financial end of our league.  Please email us at board@supercurling.com should you wish to join.  Please make this year the year for you to start to give back to our league and its sponsors.
